Holy Crap! Asian Long Horned Beetle seen in New England!

I have caught wind through the local news and RINLA that this devestating beetle has been seen in Worcester, MA. Apparently, it got here the same way it reached other parts of the country...wooden packing pallets. These guys don't fool around and they kill trees. They prey on Maple, Birch, Horse Chestnut, Sycamores, Popular, Willow, and Elms. They have issued an alert for Worcester, Boylston, Holden, Shrewsbury, and West Boylston in MA.

Here's a very informative link on all things Asian Long Horned Beetle. This is a very serious pest and we need to keep an eye out and report it to the Extension Agencies in your area if you see it.
